LIVE IN CONCERT

Inspired by the beauty of Paul Knight's book 'Entanglement', Piatti wrote 12 Miniatures for Piano Quartet (violin, viola, cello and piano) illustrating the pictures with his music and Paul retributing by creating a truly unique video

With the Phacelia Ensemble who recorded the work in 2020 performing the complete cycle for the first time and Paul Knight and Polo Piatti will tell the story behind their creation.

LIVE IN CONCERT

A unique opportunity to experience Polo Piatti performing some of his best known works while telling the stories behind their creation.

 

With specially guests including Laura Rickard (violin), Riya Hamie (cello), Daisy Noton (flute), Berniya Hamie (piano), Galina Baxter (clarinet), Thomasin Trezise (soprano), Sound Of Rock-A-Nore (shanty singers) and Polo  Piatti (piano).

VIOLONCELLO
CONCERTO

 

WORLD PREMIERE

The world-premiere of Piatti's Old World Concerto for Violoncello & Orchestra took place at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill-on-Sea, in the UK, on 20th May 2022. It was performed by Tim Posner together with the International Festival Orchestra, conducted by John Andrews, to a prolongued standing ovation.

The concerto is set to be recorded in London in June 2023 by the National Symphony Orchestra. More information to be released soon.
